Ingredients & Method:
Place some vegetable oil in the cooking pot.
Add:
1 chopped onion
2 cloves garlic (peeled & minced) or 2 tsp. garlic powder
1" fresh ginger (peeled & minced) or 2 tsp. ginger powder
Fry the above until limp.
Add:
1 tbsp curry powder (or mixture of ground cumin, corriander and pepper)
1 cup minus 1 tablespoon red lentils
1 Tablespoon + 1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 chicken bouillon cube
2 cups water
Bring it all to a boil, then simmer covered for 20 minutes. (Stir every 5 minutes).
It'll stick to the bottom of the pot.
